Design & Technology (DT)
Our Design & Technology Lead is Mrs L Keenan.
DT is taught across the whole school. A Design & Techology sequence of work goes through 3 stages of designing, making and evaluating. Children learn to think and work creatively to improve the quality of life of themselves and others. They evaluate existing design and technology, both past and present, and investigate their impact on daily life, in a range of contexts. Our children can become problem solvers both as individuals and as members of a team. They respond to needs and opportunities by developing a range of ideas that then allows them to combine practical skills with an appreciation of the aesthetics and functions of a range of products.
Our Design & Technology curriculum also covers the teaching of Food Technology.
