Our Forest School Lead is Mrs Emily Marbaix.
Nature School is delivered each week on a Friday afternoon. Each year group receives half a term of sessions led by Mrs Marbaix who is also assisted by one of our school teaching assistants.
Year 2 started their turn doing Forest School on Friday afternoons this term. So far, they have investigated habitats and made bird feeders and they have also done a session looking at Elder trees.
During this session, they learned about how to use different characteristics to identify Elder trees, found one on site and then made beads and bubble wands from the wood.
This week we are looking at winter weather and will be investigating snow and ice - we look forward to sharing photos of this in our next newsletter!
