School Meals
Our school meals are provided by FRESHA. They provide us with freshly cooked school meals which are nutritionally balanced. You can see the termly school menu below. Children can also choose to have packed lunches if they wish, but these do need to be healthy and must not include sweets or any fizzy drinks as we are a Healthy School.
Please be advised that we are a nut free school and therefore no nuts or nut based products should be provided as snacks or in packed lunches.
Payment for school meals must be booked and paid in advance, using our online payment method ParentPay, more information about this system is available on our ParentPay page. Meals must be booked by the Thursday evening for the following week.
Children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 receive a free fruit snack at play time and are entitled to Free School Meals too. Depending on your circumstances, your child may qualify to have tasty, healthy school meals for free. It could save you more than £350 a year, and you won't need to worry about making packed lunches every day. Schools receive vital funding for their Free School Meals pupils and even if you decide not to have the meals, we still receive an allocation in our Pupil Premium funding. The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers. Please talk to the school office if you think you may be eligible.
Water is always available for children to drink at lunchtime and children can access the water fountain at play times. Children may bring a bottle of water to school to drink during lesson times. No juice or squash is allowed.
All children below the age of 5 are entitled to a carton of milk to drink during the morning for free. When your child turns 5 you have the option to pay for them to receive their milk by contacting Coolmilk direct.
