The Robin Class Teaching Assistants are:

  • Mrs Rachel Johns (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)

  • Mrs Juliet Harper (Wednesday)

Robin Class are also taught by Mrs Amy Cooke and Mr Dan Vile to Cover Mr Chidler's PPA.

Year 1 and 2 children will have PE on Mondays and Wednesdays this half term. Children should keep their PE kit in school at all times.

Children in Robin Class are very lucky to have the opportunity to access the continuous provision that is set up for them in the Puffin classroom and shared outside learning areas. Some of our children are part of the school leadership groups such as the school council and digital leaders.

23rd January 2020 - Support for Spellings

We have uploaded our spelling lists in the 'boxes font' to our documents in this page. This a great strategy for learning the Tricky Words (that don't match phonetic rules) as it helps the children visualise the word as a shape rather than as just sounds or letters. We hope you find these helpful!

Spring Term 2 Drama with Mrs Harper

This term we have been following the “Food to Fork” topic by acting out some traditional “farmyard” nursery rhymes.

The children chose which animals they would like to be on the farm and then they all made masks for their chosen animal.

We had planned to invite the parents in to watch a performance but sadly due to current events that was not possible - so we have videoed our dress rehearsal to show to you instead. To view the Year 1 performance of 'The Animals on the Farm' and the Year 2 performance of 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm' see the videos below.

Robin Class Funny Stories

One of the home learning challenges for Robins during the school closure was to write a funny, short story that would make their friends laugh, just like the ones we enjoy at school!

Robin Class Letters

Another of the home learning challenges for Robins during the school closure was to write a letter addressed to the class about how they've been getting on and what they've been getting up to.
