At Abbotskerswell Primary School we believe Science to be a vital part of children’s education. As well as covering a body of knowledge, science helps children to engage with the world around them and see how it functions. Our Science curriculum includes the three major sciences as well as the skills of working scientifically.
In Early Years and Key Stage 1 Science lessons are taught within the wider curriculum topics. In Key Stage 2 Science is taught as a discreet subject on a two year rolling programme, this rolling programme is available to download from the 'Useful Documents'.
Sex and Relationships Education (SRE) is also taught as part of the Science curriculum. For further information on our SRE curriculum please read our SRE policy from the Policies page.
